August 17, 2006 was the inauguration of The Sultan Hotel Jakarta. The hotel previously operated under the name of Jakarta Hilton International Hotel for 30 years and became the largest five stars hotel in Indonesia with 1104 rooms. The hotel now is an independent hotel under Singgasana Hotels & Resorts as the operator. Singgasana Hotels & Resorts is a hospitality management and development company. Established in 2001, the firm currently manages eight properties throughout Indonesia including The Sultan Hotel Jakarta, Ayodya Resort Bali, Singgasana Hotel Surabaya, Singgasana Hotel Makassar, Lombok Golf Kosaido, The Residence, Executive Club Jakarta, and the Jakarta Convention Center. Singgasana Hotels & Resorts' philosophy is to offer Truly Indonesian Hospitality in the service delivery. The Sultan Hotel, located on Jl. Gatot Subroto opened in 1976 as the Jakarta Hilton International Hotel. Located at the strategic junction of the ‘golden triangle' business district of Jakarta, The Sultan Hotel Jakarta is a distinctive complex with three towers and Jakarta's most extensive gardens. The Sultan Hotel introduces Royal Javanese hospitality to the five star international hotel experience.
